2 Levels of action packed classes!
Journey Pop 'n Cuts Cards
Everyone loves a pop-up card, with Sizzix Pop 'n Cuts dies, everyone
can make one. These inventive dies by Karen Burniston, from nearby Katy,
TX, make pop-up cards simple and fun for everyone. You'll get from
paper to pop-up in 30 seconds, leaving plenty of time for the fun part -
decorating! Pop 'n Cuts are magnetic and interchangeable, saving you
both money and storage space. Plus, Pop 'n Cuts inserts always have at
least one perfectly coordinated decorator die or embossing folder for an
instant dynamic card. In this class you'll get to learn how the entire
Pop 'n Cuts system works by creating four all-purpose cards with a
variety of themes, styles, and techniques. The Journey class includes a
robot celebrate/birthday card, a chair "thinking of you" card, a
Butterfly "hello" card, and a Coffee card. Pieces are pre-cut and full
supply lists and instructions are included in the kit. This is a great
opportunity to "try before you buy" on a lot of dies from the journey
Pop 'n Cuts collection, plus have the opportunity to learn from the
designer herself.

Els van de Burgt, designer, artist author, teacher, and the owner of
Elizabeth Craft Designs, was born in The Netherlands. She now lives in
California, home base to her business. with a background in sales and
marketing as well as a lifelong love of art and crafts, she is in her
studio as often as possible, developing new sheets of peel-offs,
working on tutorials, and planning classes.
Els is fluent in
the universal language of crafts and creativity - along with English,
Dutch, and German. She is a gifted and energetic teacher with an
endless supply of ideas and a willingness to share them. Els is on the
road holding classes several days every month. It lets her meet store
owners and their customers, the people who use the products she sells
(Peel Off stickers, Dies, Shimmer Sheetz, Double sided adhesive sheets,
and Silk micro-fine glitter). She loves the direct response and
interaction, the inventiveness of the students. Elizabeth Craft Designs
also sets up shop at two major Craft and Hobby Association trade shows
each year, which gives her a chance to meet store owners, designers,
editors, and publishers from around the globe.
Els has written
several project books and is a regular contributor to a variety of
print and online publications. She is modest and reserved, but
talented, skilled, and totally confident. "One of my strengths is that
I'm creative, but sales is my background so I can be commercial, too,
when that's needed - like when I have to choose which peel-offs to
manufacture, which projects to plan for a class, etc."
Els said
that the "exciting landscape" of her life is in two places: Her
imagine, and outdoors in nature. In her miniscule amounts of free time
she has, she and her husband Joep can be found swimming with the
dolphins in the Bahamas or hiking along a narrow cliff, and Els once let
a snake coil around her neck in Santa Barbara. But Els mainly enjoys
being at home. "I don't need to jump out of an airplane for excitement, I
find it in the studio," she says. Els confided that "cooking skipped a
generation" and said that her mom and both kids cook well.
Fortunately, so does her husband.
"There is a nice symmetry to
Els's story- her childhood joy, coloring, has found a role center
stage in her adult career. Keep track of Els and Elizabeth Craft
